4 Optimal Collection Route
Follow this order to minimize backtracking and maximize efficiency.
① Pre-Hardmode: Basic Boots
Buy Rocket Boots from Goblin Tinkerer (5g, after Goblin Army) → Find Hermes/Flurry Boots in Underground chests → Craft Spectre Boots at Tinkerer's Workshop
② Pre-Hardmode: Upgrade to Lightning
Find Aglet (Surface chests / Wooden Crates) → Find Anklet of the Wind (Underground Jungle chests) → Find Ice Skates (Ice biome chests) → Craft Lightning Boots → Craft Frostspark Boots
③ Hardmode: Lava Waders (The Grind)
Find Water Walking Boots (Ocean chests / fishing) → Find Lava Charm (Underground chests, VERY RARE at ~2.5%) → Craft Obsidian Skull (20 Obsidian @ Furnace) → Craft Molten Charm → Craft Obsidian Water Walking Boots → Craft Lava Waders

5 ⚠ Gotcha Tips — Don't Waste Your Time
These mistakes will waste hours. Read this before you start.
Lava Charm has only ~2.5% chance in Underground Gold Chests. This is the hardest material. Search many chests, use Spelunker Potions, or fish for Obsidian/Hellstone Crates as alternative.
One Obsidian Skull goes into Molten Charm. The OTHER goes into Obsidian Water Walking Boots. Don't combine your only Lava Charm with your only Obsidian Skull until you have both paths ready.
You can't buy Rocket Boots until the Goblin Tinkerer moves in. He spawns randomly Underground after defeating the Goblin Army.
Water Walking Boots ONLY spawn in chests at the bottom of the Ocean or from Ocean Crates. You'll need to fully explore both oceans or fish extensively.
6 🎁 Free Benefits — Loot You Pick Up Along the Way
While collecting materials, you'll pass through biomes full of valuable drops. Don't leave empty-handed.
While searching for Hermes Boots, Aglet, and Lava Charm: You'll find tons of accessories (Cloud in a Bottle, Flipper, Band of Regeneration), ores, and life crystals.
While getting Water Walking Boots: Explore the Ocean floor for Starfish, Seashells, Coral, and the Angler (starts fishing quests for Cell Phone materials!).
While searching Jungle chests: Get Bezoar (Ankh Shield!), Boomstick (early gun), Feral Claws (melee speed), and Rich Mahogany.
While mining Hellstone: Get Fireblossom, find Hellforge, explore Shadow Chests, and collect Ash Wood. Plus Demons drop Demon Scythe (great magic weapon).
