1 Why the Cell Phone Changes How You Play
The Cell Phone is the ultimate information tool in Terraria. It combines 13 different information accessories into one slot — showing you weather, fishing info, depth, position, time, DPS, enemy kills, and more. Plus: one-click teleport to spawn. You'll wonder how you ever played without it.
With the Cell Phone, you never need to guess. You'll know exactly when the next Blood Moon is coming, how deep you are, and whether it's worth staying for that rare fish. Information is power — and this gives you all of it.

4 Optimal Collection Route
Follow this order to minimize backtracking and maximize efficiency.
① Start with the Angler
The hardest part is Angler quest rewards (Fisherman's Pocket Guide, Weather Radio, Sextant — each 3%). Do 1-2 Angler quests per day. While fishing, you'll also get crates that can contain Radar and other items.
② Find the Nymph
The Metal Detector (50% from Nymph) is crucial. Nymphs spawn Underground/Cavern and disguise as Lost Girl. Use a Lifeform Analyzer (buy from Traveling Merchant) to detect them. Check every 'Lost Girl' you see.
③ Collect the Crafting Items
Compass — Mimics (Underground/Cavern/Ice, 14%) or Wooden/Iron Crates
Depth Meter — Bats/Caves (1%) or Wooden Crates
Clock — Craft from Iron Bar + Glass at Table + Chair
Buy Lifeform Analyzer + Stopwatch from Traveling Merchant when he appears
④ Dungeon + Mirrors
Tally Counter — Farm Dungeon enemies (1%)
Magic Mirror — Open Gold Chests Underground (~5%)
Ice Mirror — Open Ice Chests in Ice Biome (~5%)
Craft GPS and REK 3000 at Tinkerer's Workshop
⑤ Final Assembly
Combine PDA + Magic Mirror/Ice Mirror → CELL PHONE
5 ⚠ Gotcha Tips — Don't Waste Your Time
These mistakes will waste hours. Read this before you start.
The 3 Angler accessories (Fisherman's Pocket Guide, Weather Radio, Sextant) each have 3% drop rate per quest. Expect 30-60 quests to get all three. Do quests daily — don't skip.
Nymphs disguise as 'Lost Girl' and only reveal themselves when you get close. They run away after revealing. Use a Hunter Potion or Lifeform Analyzer to spot them early.
Lifeform Analyzer and Stopwatch are ONLY sold by the Traveling Merchant, who appears randomly. Check every morning. If he doesn't have them, wait for the next visit.
Many players sell Radar, Compass, or Depth Meter early game. Keep every information accessory — you need them ALL for the Cell Phone.
You need to craft GPS (Compass+Depth+Clock) and REK 3000 (Radar+Tally+Lifeform) before making the PDA. Check the full crafting tree carefully.
6 🎁 Free Benefits — Loot You Pick Up Along the Way
While collecting materials, you'll pass through biomes full of valuable drops. Don't leave empty-handed.
While doing daily Angler quests: You'll catch crates (valuable loot), find fishing-exclusive items (Swordfish, Rockfish), and build up your collection of fish for potions (Ebonkoi, Prismite, etc.).
While hunting Nymphs for Metal Detector: You'll explore deep caves, finding heart crystals (max HP), underground cabins (chests with loot), and rare ores. Plus Lifeform Analyzer shows ALL rare enemies.
While getting Tally Counter and Magic Mirror: Collect Armor Polish and Nazar (for Ankh Shield!), find Muramasa (for Zenith!), and stockpile Bones and Ectoplasm.
While waiting for Lifeform Analyzer/Stopwatch: The Traveling Merchant sells many exclusive items — Dynasty Wood, Team Dyes, Sake, and more. Check his full inventory every visit.
